What is Splashbox?
Splashbox is an innovator training program originally modeled after Adobe’s Kickbox, designed to teach participants HOW to innovate. In December 2016, we launched Splashbox with a small pilot group before opening it up to the entire Ad Council staff. We continue to evolve the training with each new group of “Splashers.” We’ve held two Splashbox trainings so far and have trained 32 Ad Council employees to date.
We are excited to kick off our third Splashbox this fall. We only have 20 seats open, so secure your seat as soon as you have your supervisor’s approval to join us for the two-day training!

What happens during the two days?
You will learn the five levels of innovation (Immerse, Ideate, Iterate, Synthesize, and Elevate) and get a chance to apply them as teams on real projects. These five levels have elements of design thinking and lean startup methodologies – both of which we’ve seen incorporated at other organizations. Throughout the two days, you will learn and practice these innovation principles and methods, start building your innovation muscle by working on a project and start getting comfortable with the process.
When?
12/7/2017 AND 12/8/2017 , 8:30am – 5:00pm
This is a two day training. Please check with your manager before RSVPing to ensure you have the time (both days) to commit. If you can’t make it in December, don’t worry — we will be hosting another session in the Spring. Our goal is to train as many Ad Council innovators as possible by the end of this fiscal.
